Semillon is the “Must Have” wine in the fridge! A delicious aperitif, and is a perfect accompaniment to smoked salmon, fresh asparagus, Caesar salad, creamy soups and pasta dishes.

Winemaker’s Notes:
“The colour is a delightful pale yellow with green tints. On the nose it has fresh aromas of lemon flower, a touch of honey and undertones of bees’ wax, characteristic of Semillon. The palate is very clean with bright lemon/citrus flavours, and shows an attractive creamy soft mouth feel, and finishes long with an attractive zesty acidity.”

Peter Lehmann’s Clancy’s blend has become a firm favourite with lovers of red
wine around the world. Successive vintages of this wine have gained major recognition around the world for being an exceptional wine at a very fair price. America’s leading wine magazine, Wine Spectator, has selected Clancy’s in its prestigious Top 100 Wines of the Year listing on no less than four occasions since 1997, and selected the 2004 vintage to appear in its inaugural list of the world’s Top 100 Wine Values!

Winemaker’s Notes:
“A dark centre with a garnet rim. The nose shows lots of Barossa chocolate, dark plum and hints of violet. It is a wine with good fruit complexity which draws upon the attributes of each variety in the blend: Shiraz gives richness and fruit, Merlot adds a textural softness and the Cabernet Sauvignon with its firm tannins reins in the fruit to give a wine of flavour, balance and structure.”

Torrontes is considered to be the flagship white wine of Argentina. The wines produced from Torrontes are very aromatic with intense floral aromas backed up by lemon and orange notes with hints of white peach. Unlike many aromatic varieties, Torrontes retains bright acidity at maturity.

Winemaker’s Notes:
“Medrano Estate:
Our vineyards are located at the edge of the foothills, in the Andes Mountains, which well-drained, stony soils topped by a light clayey layer. The grapes were carefully hand picked form mature vines.”

Salvalai Pinot Noir

August 24, 2010 by webadmin@brainspiral.com · Leave a Comment

A soft, dry medium bodied red wine with fresh cherry-like aromas and flavours.

Winemaker’s Notes:
“Salvalai has been producing quality wines since 1870 from the grapes grown in the vineyards on the hills overlooking the Verona shore of Lake Garda, a wonderful landscape, rich in history and with a thousand-year old wine-growing tradition. With grapes harvested in the best vineyards, Salvalai makes wines such as the increasingly renowned and popular Ripasso and the inimitable Amarone, both produced using an intriguing, ancient grape drying technique, as well as the three “Classico” wines of the Verona area (Soave, Bardolino and Valpolicella) and other wines of international fame, such as Merlot and Chardonnay, enhanced by customised ageing in oak casks.”

Rutherford Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon

The flavors of blackberry, black currants & sweet smoky cedar lead to a rich, spicy finish. Very nice Cabernet at this price.

Winemaker’s Notes:
“A beautiful deep ruby color with lush fruit aromas of raspberry and Bing cherry, hints of cedar box, bright mint and spicy cinnamon. A full-bodied wine with a rich mouthfeel. Balanced acidity and silky tannins spread to a long lingering finish. Ready to drink now, but will age nicely for 4-5 years. ”
